Many of you that are visiting this website for the first time
are probably curious about what a committeeman or committeewoman
is. Let us try to explain...
Tennessee has 33 senatorial districts. We are in the 15th
Senatorial District:

This is an unpaid elected position. Each district
has a committeeman and a committeewoman. There are a total of
33 committeemen and 33 committeewomen statewide that represent
members of the republican party in their' respective districts.
It is the responsibility of these members to attend and speak
at as many party meetings as possible, make sure that each county
has bylaws to operate under, recruit candidates, organize party
membership, aid fundraising efforts, nominate members to the election
commissions, help draft the party platform, submit amendments
to the State Party Bylaws, contribute money to the Tennessee Republican
Party and much more...
Ronda Rader has been an active State Executive
Committee Member for the past four years and is up for re-election
this term. She has been responsible for helping to draft bylaws
in each of the six counties in our district and presented the
final drafts to the State Executive Committee for approval. Ronda
Rader serves on the important State Bylaws Committee. She has
submitted important amendments for election of Judges and qualification
requirments for membership to the county and state executive committees.
Her hard work has made us the only multi-county district in the
state that has bylaws in all of our counties.
Ronda Rader served as Chairman of the Putnam
County Republican Party for two terms, ran the operations of the
Putnam County Republican Headquarters during several election
cycles, compiled voter lists, aided in campaign efforts, recently
organized the Putnam County Federation of Republican Women and
much more.
Alan Rader served as Secretary of the Putnam
County Republican Party for two terms, volunteered in fundraising
efforts, recuited candidates, spoke at county party meetings and
was an elected delegate at the 2008 Republican National Convention.
He has attended every State Executive Committee Meeting for the
past four years. He is familiar with the Tennessee Republican
Party Bylaws and the Bylaws of all six counties in our Senatorial
District.
